Glenn is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a legacy Certified General Accountant (CGA). He holds his Certification in Public Sector Accounting Standards and is considered an advanced user and preparer of financial statements for governments at all levels in Canada. Glenn also holds his certification in Board Governance, granted through the First Nations University of Canada.
Working professionally for over 28 years, Glenn received his accounting designation through convocation in the fall of 2010 and comes to McClelland Debusschere with a diverse professional background, having been employed post designation in Controllership roles in the not-for- profit and manufacturing sectors, and having worked professionally in the banking industry. More recently, Glenn spent 11 of his 14 years as a designated professional in service to Indigenous communities in Canada- providing CFO, Directorship and Controllership services while sharing his experience and knowledge through consultation and other engagements.
Prior to joining McClelland Debusschere as Director, Consulting Services, Glenn spent approximately three (3) years working with BDO Canada LLP delivering Management Consulting Services to Indigenous communities across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. From July 2014 through March 2021, Glenn served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Manitoba’s largest First Nation. He has also worked with or consulted for Provincial Territorial Organizations (PTO’s) and Indigenous CFS agencies across Manitoba and Canada.
As a champion of good governance and robust and transparent financial reporting, Glenn advocates for strong governance frameworks and believes good governance and quality financial results will drive desired outcomes, growth, prosperity and results organizations strive to achieve.
