Assurance Manager​
You will be working in a leadership role to guide both assurance engagements and compilation files, with partner oversight. You will have ample opportunity to progress in this role through to partnership. We want you to help shape our growing firm. We are looking for people with the necessary skill set that will fit with our culture.
​
For assurance services, our client base mainly includes not-for-profit organizations as well as First Nations and their economic development entities. We also offer tax services to owner-managed businesses of all sizes.
​
The ideal candidate will have public practice experience in providing assurance services (audit / review) as well as in personal and corporate taxation. We utilize CaseWare, Cantax, Excel and other professional tools to deliver our services. Overall, you will be responsible for planning and executing engagements while supervising staff and working closely with the Partners of the firm.

Candidates must hold a CPA designation with, at minimum, 1 year post designation experience and have had experience in overseeing staff on assurance engagements.

Experience in meeting with clients and presenting financial statements to Boards of Directors and Chief & Councils is considered an asset.

Ability to work in high pressure, tight deadline situations while maintaining a high degree of professionalism at all times is required.

Knowledge of and experience working with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) is required.

Tax knowledge considered an asset.

Senior Associate
As a Senior Associate, you will work as part of our team to help solve clients challenges and deliver quality audits. The ideal candidate will have public practice experience in providing assurance services (audit / review) and will be in the CPA program or has recently written the CFE. This position provides excellent growth and advancement potential in a challenging and exciting environment.

You will conduct research into clients' industries and businesses. This will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the client which will enable you to plan and execute the audits. You will meet with clients and complete assigned sections of the file while ensuring the firm's quality standards are upheld.
​
Coaching of junior members and sharing of 'best practices' of file sections is a critical part of your role. You will be a key player in managing the morale of the team and ensuring the Manager and Partner are kept informed on the progress of the engagement and file specifics. This includes keeping them appraised of risks, issues, variances from the plan in terms of time, budget, etc.
​
You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge and having the ability to research issues, present alternatives and conclusions to the client and your Manager. It is important for you to take full ownership of external file completion.
